2023 Scholarship Awards
July 12, 2023 we celebrated this year's Prince Henry Society - Fall River Chapter scholarship recipients. This is the highlight of our year and the culmination of our collective efforts and hard work. The students' smiling faces and proud family members make it all worthwhile.
2022 - Annual holiday food drive. The members collected more than $4000 in monetary donations. In addition, the group collected a total weight of almost 3000 pounds of food.
The funds and food will help support the missions of St. Anne’s Food Pantry, Holy Trinity Soup Kitchen, Holy Name/Sacred Heart Food Pantry, St John of God Food Pantry, St. Dominic’s Food Pantry and the Veterans Association. Thanks to the generosity of community members who contributed to the Prince Henry Society of Fall River annual holiday food drive, additional funds and food have been provided to six soup kitchens and food pantries in the Greater Fall River area.
The Prince Henry Fall River chapter has recently donated $1,000 to the Firefighters Wives Association Inc
for those individuals who were affected by the apartment fire on Irving St. Seven adults and four children were left homeless after the fast-moving blaze — fueled by winds during this past weekend’s blizzard — tore through the five-unit triple decker at 140 Irving St.

As COVID challenges continue and cold weather moves into the area, more and more area residents are looking for food assistance. Thanks to the generosity of those who contributed to the Prince Henry Society of Fall River annual holiday food drive, additional funds and food have been provided to food pantries in the Greater Fall River area.
Checks for more than $1,000 and many boxes of food were donated to the Sacred Heart/Holy Name Food Pantry, the St. Anne Food Pantry (photo 1), the St. John of God Food Pantry (photo 2) and the Veterans’ Association.
The event was also sponsored by Radio Voz do Emigrante and was held at Portugalia Market Place and Seabra Supermarket in Fall River.
