The Prince Henry Society, Fall River Chapter, is proud of its scholarship program which has assisted hundreds of academically talented Portuguese-American students from the Greater Fall River communities including Tiverton, Westport, Somerset, Swansea, and Seekonk in the pursuit of university and college educations.
Applicants are evaluated by the Scholarship Committee on a number of categories including scholastic achievement, participation in student and community activities, and an essay describing the manner in which their Portuguese heritage has influenced their lives.
More than $400,000 in scholarships have provided to scholars who are now serving their communities in business leadership positions. In doing so, they reflect great credit upon themselves and the Portuguese heritage.
For a minimum donation of $1,000, you can create scholarship in memory of a loved one to recognize your family. Contact us for more information.
Applications for 2021 will be available from high school guidance counselors in the spring.
